Title: Pillars of the Grandeur
Name: Yoshihiro Harimoto
Country: New Zealand
Software: Maya, Photoshop

The pillar corridor of the grand structure that I have built for my final production reel in Media Design School.

This part of the building is mainly influenced by Roman architecture as well as partly Moria for its grandeur (The Lord of the Ring).

Hope you like it!

nice modeling but I feel the materials and lighting could use more work. Where and what is the light?

kanooshka: Thanks for the comment! Yeah, I have yet to improve on my lighting and texturing skills. Lighting-wise, I got a directional light, and 3~4 ambient light allocated on the outer left margin of the building. Any further recommendation/tips are definitely most welcome! Thanks :)

ginsun: Thanks :) Yeah, I'll probably add another character of mine that I've modelled during production as well. Gundam would definitely be able to fit into this structure, so yes there are still some small chance of possibility :P

Nice looking image.

IŽll use lights and shadows to break up the monotony of the main corridor. I also think a lil bit of work with fog and volume lights should help with depth.
