This is fully armoured Romanic Spartan that I have modeled for final project reel at Media Design School in NZ.

Having to like both 300 and Gladiator movie, I have decided to model this character with a lot of influence from both Spartan and Roman armoury.

Critiques and comments are most welcome!

I like the armor :)
but dont really like the texture on the guy =(

PinQ: Thanks for the comment :) Yeah, I wasn't satisfied with the texture either (especially the helmet and pretty much all the metal part...kindof more clayish), but that's what I have to submit for the school's deadline at moment. However I will be further improving the textures on my own spare time, and post updated version in the near future hopefully :) Thanks for liking the armour though!

DavidHughes3d: Thanks a lot! Yes, I'll definitely be keen in trying out SSS shader, which I was neve able to learn during the production period. Now that I have more spare time, I'll hopefully be able to update on character's skin real soon. Thanks for the comment!

Nice job, but I have to tell you that Sparta is in Greece and Romans lived couple hundred years later and about 1000Km away from Sparta. :-)
