View Full Version : Question: UV mapping.

I was following along in a UV mapping video tutorial (mapping a dice)l when I came accross a hickup.

In the video tutorial the guy selects "planar mapping" and nothing changes except that UV mapping tool thing (i don't know the name of it shows on the face of the polygon cube.

Well I do the same thing but when i select planar mapping my dice texture dissapears and this black&white checkered texture shows up on my polygon cube and in the "UV texture editor" panel.

I did everything the guy in the video tutorial does but i still get that black&white texture.

Does anyone know what I could be doing wrong?

Hello!

You have to uncheck the little box in the edit polygones/texture/ assign shader to each projection. If you have this feature turned on, it will automaticly apply a default shader to your faces.
