has anyone had difficulties using MAX with WIN Me?
I was runing Win 2000 with no probs, but my computer was recently the victim of a lightening surge that completely fried it.

So I'm running MAX on my room mates comp and he has WIN ME, the problem is that none of the rihgt clicks work..
when I try to bring up a quad menu or simply change the viewport settings ....it does nothing....

my right click menus work fine in any other program ....
anyone else experience this?

Max and WinME are not compatible at all. You will experience loads of glitches and I can almost gaurantee it will crash at least 4 times per hour. Max and Win98 is bad enough, but ME is substantially worse (in fact ME is probably the worst OS Microsoft have ever produced).

Guess that's why WinME isn't mentioned anywhere on Discreet's list of "supported OS's" huh?

Get 2K or XP, or give up 3D.

thanks for the warning...I'll see what I can do about switching my Os, actually will be getting a new machine soon, are there many problems with MAX on XP?

Win ME is like a horrible virus. It is absolutely the worst OS you can put on your machine. Period.

ME is crap. But give win98 some credit. It has been very good to me.

I've been running Max 4.26 on WinXP for a few months now and it's been pretty stable. Minor crashes here and there but nothing terrible. And yes, WinMe is an incredibly unstable and probably the worst OS ever produced...
