View Full Version : Stitch
andym2001ok 04-16-2003, 07:41 PM ok guys heres the problem. Im making a Basketball jersey and I got the shape all worked out using splines. (I followed the tutorial on digimation). Then when it gets to the seams part Im not sure what to do. All I see is the mouse click both of the spline shapes (I did that) and then go into the curves subpanel. In the tutorial is looks like he clicks break multisegmants so I try to do that and nothing happens...Im extremly confused and need help. It took me a couple months to save for Stitch and I really would like to actually work it right lol.
BTW if you have never seen the tut www.digimation.com and click products then stitch than tips and tutorials and then click the first video tutorial.

as simple as joe bount made it seem ....
simcloth simply kicks ass, it's very easy to use and from personal experience i've found it to be quite accurate (except sometimes on high poly meshs) - but definitely DL simcloth and give it a try

Ah yes, but Simcloth is only a simulator, not a cloth system like Stitch. It's been quite a long time since I've touched Garmentmaker, but from what I remember, you assign springs to draw the seems inward. Once stiched it becomes a complete mesh.
The first few tutorials in the manual explain this quite well. I'm not sure what you're looking at.

Have you contacted digimation tech support? Or try the support forums at www.digimation.com/forums.

Awesome, I'm glad you figured it out... and Joebount, it seems pretty lame to be happy about someone getting "screwed":hmm:

Yeah, Stitch is pretty powerful, and really good results when you've experimented enough to learn how to achieve them, which, admittedly I've only halfway done. I love simcloth, too, and the fact that it's free makes me believe in the improbability of the success of communism.
