I'm at work right now so I can't try this out but I thought I would pose the question so I'm prepared when I get home tonight. The question is this, Is it possible to use dirty nuts in one of the channels of the fussion shader?? Does that make sense? -- dano

Im not sure of the look you want to achieve. But i threw some out.

Image 1 (http://www.metafex.net/imagehost/dn1.jpg)
Image 1 has fusion in the color channel, with colorizer for base and DN in the blend.

Image 2 (http://www.metafex.net/imagehost/dn2.jpg)
Same as Image 1, except fresnel added in lum channel.

Image 3 (http://www.metafex.net/imagehost/dn3.jpg)
Color channel: color=red, and the same fusion settings from image 1 in the transparancy channel.

Thanks Kotayus, I think Image 1 is pretty close to what I'm going to be trying to acheive. I was thinking of using this on the boulders in the WIP that I have going. I think it will work good. We'll see. Thanks again -- dano

Yep, Thanks! I'm already using 3d noise in the diffuse channel and I want to pair it with Dirty Nuts. I think it's going to work out well. Cheers! -- dano

I just did it a few hours ago, as a matter of fact--fused DN and a grime map in the diffusion channel. Worked great.

Does it matter which channel you put DN in??

on renderosity ive heard of people using it in bump and a couple others...im guessing it can be used almost anywhere, although the results may be nothing special. I made a matierial a while back that used it in the transparency channel with colorizer and put DN in colorizers texture field. made a pretty cool intersect mat. When something goes through it, t changed colors...pretty cool, check it out HERE (http://www.metafex.net/cinema/intersect.zip)

Although i never used it in anything im still pretty proud of it.
