ok I have a weird one for yas... when I activate modeler, my sensitivity on the mouse goes to about half. Any time the modeler program is active, the mouse is slow... when I minimize or just click on desktop so modeler is not active, it is normal speed... talk about a weird one!

I am running XP on a P4 2Ghz with 1 Gig of ram with a mid-level Radeon card. I am using LW 7.5 Build 477 (I don't think there is a letter after that one, stick with what works, hehe). It does the same thing in Layout as well.

Any ideas? Weirdest thing I've ever seen, hehe... thx!

in modeler and layout hit the o key to go to options and then check to make sure the mouse settings are correct...

All seems to look ok to me. It is set to mouse (not tablet) and all are default and integer... hmm. This will be an interesting solution when it comes up I bet, either that or it will be a really really silly one that can be filed in the i d 10 t file. ;)

This could be a problem with your ATI drivers. I know when I got my Radeon 9700 Pro I had less than stellar performance. Some tweaks in Modeler and the ATI drivers helped. Specifically in Modeler, changing the Display Options-->Interface to use Simple Wireframe points resulted in a huge performance increase.

Good luck!

It's almost certainly a driver or conflict issue. The only other thing it could be is a process with too high priority stealing cycles.

The mouse pointer comes under the graphics driver, that's where I would look first. Then PCI driver for the motherboard, then modem driver.

Ahh, I had this problem too before.
Your'e using a Logitech mouse??
This bug occured for me when I installed their latest drivers, mouseware or what they are called.
Once I went back to a little older drivers, this problem dissapeared.

I have a similar problem where the cursor just randomly "lets go," and I drop whatever I had been dragging.

Like my finger twitched, or something, except it's not.

But it doesn't impact performace at all.
