View Full Version : Creating a Shadow Light
teewsandy 04-16-2003, 05:15 PM I wish I could remember and now I can't find my notes or anywhere on how to make just a shadow light. I don't need specular or diffuse just for the light to cast shadows.
I remember it was something like making 2 directionals with 1 being an intesity of -1.
Sorry for this question that may be simple but I couldn't find the answer after searching. :hmm:
Thanks in advance.

The above meathod works, and is better... but if your not using an Ambient light source, you can just uncheck the "emit diffuse" and "emit specular" boxes in the attributes. :D

-1 or a -0.* value cuz -1 is really dark...it just sucks in all the light like a black hole :scream:
u can change this in the intensity value.
or wat beaker said would work too but if u want it to absourb the light then make it a negitive light by using a negitive value for the intensity.

Thanks for the replies. Beaker's method worked great and I jotted down the rest on notes to experiment later. And this time I will keep my notes.
Thanks again.
