Mr Fudge 04-16-2003, 04:44 PM Is it possible to turn off certain keys when scubbing through ones animation??? Like for EG reataining translation and switching off rotataion.

Well, one way is you could add Ease Curve controllers onto the rotation controllers yoiu wanted to disable. Instance them to each other, then you'd just have to move one control point to "turn off" all the rotations.
Might be an easier way tho.

one method is to right click on the track bar and select the 'filter' option from the list. when you are in the filter menu you can select the current transform option. when that filter is active only the the keys for your current transformation tool will be visible in the track bar. so for example if you had the move tool active only position keys would be displayed.

ohhhhhh.....ooops think i misunderstood there. so you dont want the rotation to display in the viewport. hmm, man im hooked on this question now. not going to sleep till i find an easier way.
You can do this using a list controller. Then you weight it so that the new controller that you added has all of the control without the keys. You can animate the weight so that you can fade back and forth between controllers.
