I couldn't find another section in the forum where i could post my question, so this was the best place i could find. Do move the thread if I made a mistake.

I have a project for my illustrator class and I'm having problems with the coloring part of it.
Assuming I'm a total noob, I'm asking you if you have any good techniques that will help me get the photo realistic feel that I'm looking for.

As of now I've been using the gradient tool but I'm not satisfied.

Thanx in advance for your reply

You should practice using the Gradient Mesh Tool, Blend Tool as well as the basic Gradient Tool.
Here is a link showing some of the most impressive photo-real Illustrator CS2 work I’ve seen (click on Portraits and Vehicles):

Pass the cursor over the images to see the shape lines.
You can find some tutes there under Tips and Tricks.

the answer I was starting to think that I wouldn't be getting one.

There should be a Illustrator section or Other Adobe software section
