Hi Everyone

I dont know how related this is here, but Im looking for some history of lighting in 3D, including techniques, improvements and such.

Does anyone know where I can find some of this information please?

Thanks a lot.

ummmm....... 3D lighting, I guess you should find the History of Renderers or Rendering techniques.

I give you some Keywords that you can search in Wiki. eg. Scanline Rendering, Ray Casting, Ray Tracing, Radiosity, Global Illumination.

Another 3D lighting related stuff.......
When 3D software still haven't raytracing yet, we use specular for fake highlight. Later on, we can use raytracing to get the semi-real specular. And now we use HDRI to get the real exposure of specular.

In my pov, lighting is really complex thing that involves hardware, software, physics, maths, compositing.... etc.

Hope my information can help ^^
