View Full Version : Mountains WIP - a bit stuck

Last Friday I started a painting in Photoshop, using reference, of a mountain scene. Now, it all started well, but I've been stuck in the mud because I have no idea where to go, and how to go, with it. Or I have ideas, but the how is entirely another part. I heard someone say that if you're not frustrated, you're not learning...well, you can be frustrated and not learning, either...it's soooo frustrating, because no matter what I try, it's going nowhere...

I've tried at least five other paint overs of the initial groundwork, none of which have been successful...

Any help, tips, advice, suggestions and criticism is much appreciated. Thanks.

well.. how about some mindless doodling on a layer above this?

Or maybe you need to think up a story you want to tell... or decide on some kind of emotion or atmosphere you want to bring across...
Really... with technique and layout we can help but the ideas need to come from you.

So you said there was some stuff you didn't know how to get done... post those ideas and we'll talk further!

come on... you can't be that out of creativity... what was the thing that got you to actually do the picture in the first place.

Anyway... I am very curious about what those impossible things are!
