Title: Don't Mess With My Tutu
Name: David Marsh
Country: United Kingdom
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop, VRay

This is my Strange Behaviour entry. The background story is:

"Introducing the new star pupil of Ms Tingle's Ballet School For Girls - former builder and rugby player, Andy Marsh.

A warning to all men undergoing a mid-life crisis but who cannot afford a Porsche."

The two main characters are based on my parents and I am very pleased with the likeness - especially my dad.

Modelling has been done in 3dsMax, rendering is VRay.

You can view a high res version here: www.bluefrogdigital.com/strangebehaviour.html

Hope you like.

The faces are great, but where is the reflection of the girls in the mirror? The 4 on the right side are missing.

EDIT: Forgot to give you stars :-) *4*

The pose from the 3rd girl from the right is a tad weird, but very funny render :)

Very funny and profoundly disturbing at the same time. Great work.

Love the way Eve has a bite of apple in her cheek.

this is awesome. Idea is brilliant and characters are very powerful. Poses are really appealing. I'm missing some environment details though, room looks like a box and piano seems not up to par with the rest of the scene...4*

Great work overall

Petz, where is the reflection of the girls in the mirror? The 4 on the right side are missing
They are there but they are just cropped by the frame. The camera has a deceptively big lens as it was the only way I could get the characters positioned where I wanted them, beneath his arms - I think that's why the reflections aren't quite where you'd expect to see them.

Cheers for you post.

kiboSVK, thanks man

Baltasound, oddly other epople have said that's their favorite - personally I think her right arm could be better but I like the way she is clasping her mouth in shock. Cheers for pointing it out.

jankvollmer, nice one

joebattleartist, Thanks for the resource at http://www.bluefrogdigital.com/acatalog/adamandeve.html (http://www.bluefrogdigital.com/acatalog/adamandeve.html)

Hey, no worries, glad you find it useful. It's a pretty humble beginning but I plan to expand things a lot whislt keeping the price low and the quality high. Cheers man.

DDS, Cheers dude. That's a fair call on the environment - with deadlines looming I had to run with what I had, ieally i would have liked to get a lot more detail in. Glad you like it though, thanks for your post.

TheRazorsEdge, glad to hear it

This has really got alot of character. Very good how you showed each persons thoughts about Mr. tutu, since he is upstaging everyone.:)

But what lets down the image a bit, is that repetativeness of the lady holding the rail. But can be overlooked as my eyes are brought to the charcaters in the foreground.

Otherwise this is a very good piece. I think the instructor is pleased.
