Hi all.

I was wondering if it's possible/advisable to rebuild the car_paint_phen shader from scratch on an mia_material base?
I'm thinking mia is more up to date and does better glossies... and mia_x bump support and all that.
The main problem I'm having is re-creating the metallic flakes. mi_bump_flakes refuses to co-operate.

I tried one approach where I used one mia material with blurry refs and then added another black mia with sharp refs on top of the blurry but then I was thinking this will no longer maintain physical accuracy (the add operator will allow the ref values to be >1 etc)

Has anyone got decent car paint networks they'd like to share?
..or shoud I stick with car paint?
