Howdy !

i can think of numerous ways to do this, but the more simple would be to "edge" a cube the way you need it and then extrude faces to create geometry from the cube.
Somehow "draw" the letters on the cube's faces using edge connections, then extrude.

Once the cube is drawn, try using the AutoGrid feature (above your primitives/shapes/etc...

Then, when you create the parts of the letters, as you roll over the cube, they'll be created on the surface. You'll probably still need to adjust them, but at least they'll line up to start with.
