Title: CENTRO restaurant | Melia Reforma
Name: Pedro Rafael Lechuga Gomez
Country: Mexico
Software: CorelDRAW, Maxwell Render, Maya

This is the 3D image from the re-desing project based on Tina Hakingīs (interior designer) idea. The restaurant is located in Mexico city, is the semi-basement of Melia Hotel Reforma.

Was done in 2 different sessions with Tinaīs collaboration, doing everything in real time using Maya 8.5, programing materials and modeling the scene except the dishes, alcohol bottles and tall plants.

She just gave us some pics of the objectsfrom an internet catalog like lamps, chandelier and furniture and we have to model those and re-create them with Tinaīs vision in colour, materials and shapes. Some photos were taken for the textures, but then we recreate those using digital imagery so we could have more control over all the values like spectacular, bump and shapes, and also quality.

The project included the lobby bar re-design, also done entirely in 3D, a very nice and real result emerge from it, and the manipulation of some pictures to create new lightning design for the hotelīs lobby using Photopaint (i really donīt like photoshop).

This restaurant image consists of:
1226 objects
3,058,877 faces
73 diferent materials

Was Rendered in Maxwell for an SL of 16 at 8 hrs per image, for a total of 5 images from this place and 3 from the lobby project.

rich in detail but not the chairs(or they are just designed this way).

for such a big scene(3 million faces if i didn't fail my memory), it's a very huge nice work

Yeah! I know, Tina just gave us a pic, the chairs were like this ones, pure "box-like" design, she saw that, but for the budget I think they were okay, so she only asked us to put the redish edge.
