Hi!
I think the modell is good but it needs some fixing, and detail. Maybe some render without shaders, only the mesh (you know, those full grey pictures :) ) could show what the modell lacks. And then render with shaders.
The edges of your pics needs higher AA, they look jagged. And the shadows below the car are too dark, light them up, it is a well-lit scene, with lights coming from every direction. But overall very good start, I like it, keep going!! Hope this crit helps!

well, not bad for a low polly model. however; being a BMW enthusiast, why o why did you put altessa tail lights on it? it reminds me of the people that drive around in mustangs with Type R sticks on it. (for those that dont know, altessa is a style of tail lights that lexus came out with.)
For this era of BMW, it is bang on!! Great stuff. Nothong to crit at all.
Well, actually, I do agree about the tailights. Way off base for this car. Unless you are going to add a bunch of up to date mods, etc...

It`s not altezas tail lights, I think.
This is the way, how the tunning tail lights are made here in europe. Lights are exacactly for the BMW.

This car is just a tunning car. I like it the way it looks. I would only choose some more exotic colour (like lime green) And add some more tunning mods (spoilers, wing,...)

lexus was the first company to mass-produce that style tail lights. then small aftermarket compansy started to make that style for other cars. first was honda, then mistubishi, acura, even ford. and now they are making it for bmw. i am a firm believer in "if you want to modify your car, keep it orignal to the nation it was made in." german cars should keep with german parts. japanese cars shoudl stick with japanese parts. ect. just the regular tail lights with the blinker cleared out would, in my opinion, look so much better. but, if you plan on using those tail lights, then switch the paint job to silver. try to make it match. and if you are gonna use those tail lights, then give it clear corner lenses.
side note: there were some problems i found in the actual model itself. its an E36 body, looks like 94 3series (non-M3) cause of the side skirts. then a later model M3 front bumper. the side mirrors of an early model 3 series (non-M3). theres no side marker light. and in the middle picture, its hard to see, but it looks like theres only 1 outlet on the muffler, only the 318 had that type of muffler. and then the rims. which i wont say anything, cause maybe you wanted it to have different rims with a gun-metal finish.

Yeah, youre right about Lexus. But I cannot agree with the point, that Lexus came with it first, and others are just repeating. IMHO is just another stage of car industry.
It`s not that long when, correct me if I`m wrong cause I`m not sure if mercedes was really first, mercedes came up with Xenon bulbs :) .. and now, even Mitsubishi, Toyotas Nissan, Porsche, VW, BMW has it.
It`s just business. Somebody thinks up something, and if it is good, other will use it too. Becouse it will sell better. But this is not a thread on CG :)))

but the problem with the "buisness" is that most of the products made are just copies of factory parts for other cars. more and more parts are being made to make anyone car look like a BMW. M3 fenders, Z3 fenders, M3 side mirrors, even the Angels Eyes lights can be bought for other cars.

Hey Mindphaser!
I can'T see any pic, please upload one for me.
Looks like my ISP don't like yours.
Are U working on the 3-compact? That's the only one I know with round cluster lights..
Another Car with round cluster lights is the TVR Chimera... So who was first :wavey: I'm sure there are a couple of exotic cars with that type of lights. I prefer old big wide boxy taillights (ford probe, mitsu ecplise, lotus esprit <- (well te lights are rom toyota) ) :buttrock:
