Hi guys.

When I try to access the @ character on my keyboard by pressing shift', I get a speech mark character.

So when I press shift2 I get the @ character I am looking for.

Basically the keys don't produce what they should when pressed. Is this a problem with the keyboard or a problem with the PC? If anyone has experienced this problem please let me know.

Thanks.

what OS and what Language layout ?

at my setups in denmark have @ placed at "2" using "alt ctrl", under OS X next to the return key and "alt"

I think englsih layout it's commonly at shift + 2, I've seen it at the key left of the numbers on the regular part of the keyboard, it's a little jumpy fellow ;)

Your keyboard prefs are set to american, change it to UK

I have searched google for some tutorials but I cannot find anything to explain how to access the keyboard preferences. Could you explain how to locate this panel and how to change from American to UK.

Thank you.

start > control panel > regional

make sure everything is set to uk, not usa
