Whats an easy way to make realistic looking grass in maya? Is there a good plugin for it that is free? If all else fails i guess i could use fur... but i don't think it looks much like grass in my opinion.

fur works fine for grass, check here:

Disney used fur for their grass on Dinosaur. Many other places use the same thing. It works fine unless your doing bugs life close ups of it.
