I'm in the process of putting the last 18years worth of ideas into one world. It's all in my head, slightly on paper and not a skerrit finnished.
This is my 1st 'set', stalled due to lack of access to software - my 1st Max model.
As you can see by my truly awful (and old but only complete) sketch - I should stick to 3D.
The theory behind this is that in my world, some trees make helium, not oxygen. Cultivated from saplings Bonsai-like, it is the preffered mode of transport for heroes, my problem is the interior.
I need to divide up the space to make it liveable - but don't want to go down the tired old 'walls and doors' thing. I also dont want the kitchen/bedroom/bathroom arrangement.
On a technical level, am I over-modelling? I love detail but is clever texturing a better skill to hone than being a detail freak? Is modelling a dead skill since the advent of scanners?
Anyhoo, this is the first outside of friends and family, don't be gentle - they were...
