This head started out as a topology test. Since it has clearly gone beyond a simple test, I wanted to start a new thread calling attention to a critique with the focus on entering this into the Expose book competition. :)

For the original thread: (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=46688&perpage=15&pagenumber=4)

I am trying to figure out what to do with this to finish it up. I thought of the following:
- new head pose (problem here is that I like the 3/4 view. It shows off the head and helmet)
- environment? what seems natural? i was thinking of the inside of a vehicle moving through a forest? what do you think?
- facial expression? I have a pose set up with a smirk that is interesting (see bottom image) ...but the cool, collected simple gaze grabs me.
- dreadlocks. I lik'em. I think I need more. I need to tweak the material. There are images sans dreads in the old thread if you want to see it.
-Having tons of trouble making the eyes look as good in the new brazil render as they did in the old scanline render. They seem foggy with weird reflections. (see below)

I have other renders that have Depth of field, etc. They look great, but the render time is significantly longer, so I will hold off until the final render for those FX.

here are the old eyes...i do not know what happened?

We are all working on OUR Expose Entries.

Nice modelling but frankly, blue girls freak me out. The opera singer in the 5th element ruined the movie for me.

And heiyuu always likes more raytrace ;)

more raytrace? those are all raytrace materials. Dang things are so slow to render (although they are better now with Brazil :)

I kinda find here a little boring. Her eyes don't really look right. Its as if they were just placed into here head. They just look strange. Good quality render...

What do you think would make it less boring in your mind? Is it the head in general, or just that she is not really doing anything yet? I am planning on setting up a whole scene and an emotion etc.
