Greetings all..I'm very new to MEL Scripting, so excuse my ignorance....
I'm trying to do a batch render and I've typed out the following...

Render -r mr -s500 -e 600 -rt 4 -v 5 -rd D:\Univision_Work\El_Show\Maya\images\Shadow -proj D:\Univision_Work\El_Show\Maya\scenes MyVersion_B.mb -rl Shadow

It doesn't render! and the Cprompt black box goes away to quick for me to read any errors....

What am I doing wrong? and is there a way for me to be able to keep the Cprompt Black box up longer, so that I can read the error I'm getting?

thanks in advance...

You have to open the cmd box first and then type you batch file name in there and the window will not close. (press "windows+r" and type "cmd")
It will only close if you execute it directly with a doubleclick/enterkey. (This is a feature!)

Think of a pipeline with hundreds of batchfiles that would left open hundreds of windows...

Thanks Guido..It worked now...
But I was wondering if when your writing a rendering script, does it matter the order that you write things?

In other words for example do I have to specify the project to render first, then the frames I would like to render, then the format, etc etc..? Or it doesn't matter?
Also could you point me towards or know of any tutorials for batch rendering scripts, somewhere I could educate myself more on this new subject to me?

Thanks again G!:)
