I'm new in game the developement, we just formed our new group. And now I still have few questions of modeling low poly objects. We will use of course DirectX 8, but I don't know if I need to transfer my objects (I use Lightwave 7) in trinagles, I have plugin for transfering objects directly to .x files and they look ok in D3DX Viewer.
Does anybody can help me whit this:
Can I use polygons with more than 3 or 4 points
Can I use bump maps
Can I use reflections
Can I use ilumination
Smoothing the surface
and rest of great effect in Lightwave
Please help the new guy.
PS. what is meaning of WIP? :-/
