I'm not a max user but I have a model that's in max currently. This isn't a model I modelled but the author of it evidently had no grasp of scale as the model is 1244 meters in height when it's supposed to be man sized. The problem is it's rigged to physique. From what i gather to rescale it you select the biped and go into figure mode and change the height in structure and the mesh is supposed to scale with. Well it does....Everything but the entire head. The body scales down like i guess i'd expect but the head stays original size. Any tips how I can get this thing scaled down to realistic sizes?

Also what's the terminology in max for the size of the world your working in? Like in layout in lightwavey you can set the grid size and that affects the scale of your workspace, what's the equivalent in max because that's majorly off in this scene.

thanks

I just noticed the torso doesn't scale 100% correctly either though it scales a tad better than the head.

Howdy !

well all i could guess for the mesh not scaling right would be that physique is badly applied, head and torso might have some vertices not taken into account by the physique mod (not assigned to any link-bone, that is), so when you scale the biped, it scales just the vertices of the mesh it's been told to affect.
Thing is, i would guess that since there is a physique applied, it would not be a good idea to select mesh and physique and scale that down "manually", i think it might give weird results.

As for world, well Max uses coordinate systems, which can be of many types, there is a Rescale World Units in the utility panel you might find usefull !
