I don't really do much by way of 2D painting in Photoshop, I mainly use it to texture 3D models. With this piece I wanted to try a painting from scratch without really thinking about it. I started roughing in som shapes and then refined them until I came to where you see it now.

I really found the process very liberating and want to advance my abilities.

Good job, nice mood! Only serious crit would be how it seems that his right arm is not casting a shadow on himself (I think it should occlude a bit his right leg).

Thank you for the feedback Philipe. I agree with you about the right arm needing to cast more shadow. To be honest it was something that was nagging at my brain just before I uploaded the image. I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
