View Full Version : .mb rigged character into C4D?
I think mb is a maya file right? I have a rigged character but don't have Maya and wondered if there is any way I can get it into C4D. I've asked if it can be resent as an fbx but in case not I need to look at other possibilities.
mb is tha Maya binary format, it can only be read by Maya.

I don't suppose anyone out there with Maya could convert it for me? I'd be most grateful.
Well if its a rigged maya character chances are it won't behave the same way once its in c4d. The only things you will get are weights. Controllers will transfer also but will not be setup to influence anything.
So you will still need to manually rig everything in c4d.
If that's what you need PM me and i'll convert it tomorrow at work.
Thanks a lot for the offer Dan, I got someone to do it for me earlier. It was a case of just the mesh but that's ok I need the rigging practise anyway:)
