View Full Version : Chunky rendering?
I'm fairly new to maya and I made a little animation and tried to render it using the batch render, the tutorial thing I was using (as far as I could tell) said my settings were right, but for some reason when I rendered 72 frames, it came out as 2 chunky seconds. It was like someone took out a few frames because everything seemed to stop and go . . . does anyone know what could have caused this?

was your frame step higher than 0?
Sorry, rendering in maya is very new to me, where is the frame step?
Somebody please help! I really need to render before thanksgiving and I can't find the frame step (I've googled it, used maya help and so on) and I have no idea what could be wrong with it!

I think what seandunderdale is saying is check your render settings, common tab, what is your "by frame" setting?, for more info on this check out the online help (render settings, common tab).
It could also be that your animation is jerky?
