Hi there!

I wanted to animate over an curve, a whole in a pipeline. In Viewport (playblast) everything looks well, but when I go for rendering (mr) it behaves very strange: its not defined like a smooth opening effect, it stay for a couple of frames, then jumpes directly to this actual position for that frame, so itīs stepped crappy movement. What to doo? I am having a Approx. for TRimed NURBS applied, and was playing around, but it couldnīt be fixed so far.

Any suggestions? - thnx in advance!

Im not sure really what the issue could be but since MR converts everything to polys (as far as I know) at render time it might have something to with that. Perhaps the way youve animated the nurbs object works in the viewport, and therefore playblast, but MR doesnt like it when it converts to polys.

no I thought it was gone, but it isnt. Itīs the same mess..
When I go to bake the surfaces animation, the baked result will end up in a crappy mess.
my cylinder is twisted, and distorded.

someone know what it could be? why cant mental ray handle these trimmed ones propporly?
