View Full Version : mmm, smooth meshy thing
Kotayus 04-15-2003, 08:45 PM I thought i would share a new piece i made, as i have never done so before. I posted this in another thread, but i decided i would like to know what you guys think. I love the abstract art scene, although its getting old, i do enjoy it. Gotta love the smooth spacey abstract things! And i posted here because there is no post work, its all c4d, and so i wanted to share with my c4d buddies.

Kotayus

cool, I like it when abstract actually looks like something, in this case some kind of flower.
Don't know about the text though.

ooh, very nice. how did you achieve that effect? (how much of it's photoshop work?)

well the shape itself is a cumpled sphere, then extruded then hyper nurbed. There are 2 omnis both white, and the matierial is what makes it flashy, although its simple its effective. The "airbrushed" look as ive been told is volumetric lights in a emitter, with a reddish color, close to the shapes mat. I have a sky with stars and thats it...threw some text, the lens flare and the grid thing in...but the shape, airbrush effect and lighting is all c4d. The asthetics of space, like i said such as the lens flare is PS, but thats all.

its in transit...
goes like this for anyone who is interested.
nurb
------->twist
--------------->4/5 x discs (any object)
------------------------>bend x2
----------------------------->dishaper x 2
basically the nurb-object-dishaper order is important...the rest i leave up to you.:wavey:
