View Full Version : Best way do global stitch a nurb patch?
Jon Beckett 04-15-2003, 04:17 PM Good day,
Can anyone point me towards a decent tutorial or a thread on this? If someone can find the time to explain their technique it would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, dont know any cool tutorial but what works fine for me is:
first make sure that the isos line up. you may wanna rebuild your surface with uniform and keep cvs.
The attach the surfaces you want to stitch. I know this sounds stupid but thats the way it works for me. You have to attach the two patches with blend option turned on and detach it afterwards. do that for all patches with all patches you wanna stitch them to. This will mess up your geometrie somewhat but wait until its finished.
After you have done the same procedure for all patches that line up in U as well as in V Direction, you select all and do the global stitch. (use normal for smoothnes, closest knot and equal params) maybe you have to play a bit with the parameters but thats mainly it.
give it a try
