Good Morning all! I've been twigging about still on my animation of a house building.
Right now, just the pouring of the cement pad is at 4000 frames long, ( 30 frames a sec ) so roughly...2 minutes,,( Way too long to watch cement pour!! )

I'd like the whole thing to not last longer then two minutes!

My question is this, what is the trick, now that everything is digital, to speed up the playback of the animation, (compact 2 minutes of animation into 30 seconds basically)

I've messed about with the retime bit in 3DMax, but it looks like that is just to play it back WHILE in Max. Is it perhaps only possible to do in post ?

Thanks a bunch!

do some math and you'll get what you want.

-ok if you play the animation at 30 frame/s: you have like 133 second = 2 min 13 s .

-if you change the framerate and put it at 60 f/s : you will have like 4000/60= 66 second= 1 min 6 s .see it's just a simple operation .

good luck.

Thanks MetalWings...my big concern when I first set out was the fact that I render everything out in stills,,not as avis,movs,ect..

Guess my brain just got stuck there for a bit..reading it in text once in a while seems to make it "Pop back" tho. :) "Aha"!!

Thanks again mate,
