There are three ways to render wireframes:
1. Use the capture tool.
2. Use the Toon Shaders (http://www.edharriss.com/tutorials/tutorial_toon_wireframe/toon_wireframe.pdf)
3. Get the Free PT_Showedges Shader from PHOENIX TOOLS (http://www.phoenixtools.com/products/free_download.html)

I use this proceedure.go into display options and select show wire on unselected options, then go into the render tree and unattach the shader from the material surface node.
now you can render a shaded wireframe:beer:
one issue with this cool workaround is they occlude shaded objects
