CGTalk - alien invasion wip

Hi mates. I'm working on that image that shows an alien shoked by the beauty of a rose during an alien invasion. The invasion seems to be too late, because the city where the scene takes place seems to be empty and dead. So humans are over, but the life finds its own way out.
I'm working on the background and on the alien character in different documents ( my computer cant handle so many layers). First the background, wich needs some atmosphere touches and anything you fins that laks.

and the alien, that will be integrated in the background after some touches on the skin and morphology deformation :) to work on the light interaction. Oh, the rose is at 20%...

wow i cant wait to see it all together! I think this is looking really good so far. I LOVE the concept! i think it is beautiful! Cant go wrong with nature! :)

ok now to some crits! :D I think the ground is looking too seamless and should be more varied...i think some parts would look cool a bit more smoothed out and some other parts all crumbled and cracked. Another thing is the light beams coming from the saucer ... I would give it a fade and not just a straight beam of light with the same volume of light all the way through. Hope that helps! :thumbsup:

looking great my friend! the ground is really looking a lot better! The rest looks great...maybe make the stem of the rose thicker and more angular. Keep it up!
