View Full Version : Result shown with NO decimals?
tcastudios 04-14-2003, 11:57 PM IŽm doing a bar whos hight is driven by the color red. On top of it I have a text object showing the value and and also travels allong as the bar grows. Now, IŽd like to have the text object only to show the values 1,2,3 etc. up to 100 -without- the decimals. The set up is done using xpresso but I cannot for my life find a easy solution.

either autoconvert to integer (whole numbers only). you do this by plugging the value into an integer input of at some point, for instance you should simply plug it into a math node that's set to integer and take the output directly without applying any function to it. or you could convert using the universal node, set to integer mode.

You can throw the text object inside a boolean with a cube or something positioned correctly to remove the digits after the decimal. When the number adds a digit like from like 9 to 10 you have to reposition the object you use for cutting. That can simply be done automatically with Xpresso and some logaritms.

Thanks. That was it. I think I shouldŽve paid more attention at math classes..
.. like 20 years ago....
Thanks again.
