View Full Version : Latest image: Telephone Time Travel Gadget
Cartesius 04-14-2003, 10:00 PM Hi all,
I think this is the first time I post an image to CGTalk, but you gotta start someday, right :) This image was for a challenge/excercise run at Renderosity. The challenge was to model an old telephone using supplied reference photos but tweak the model to look lika a serious gadget for time travelling, a gadget that could be found in a mad scientist's laboratory around 1850.
C & C always welcome!

Hello Anders, really nice work on your part (typically). Looks like you're in the lead, huh? I guess I should go cast my vote.

Thanks guys, glad you appreciated it!
@ Castroman: The parts are not from my microscope but I did use (almost) the same reference image, so they probably look very similar :)

presumably the scientist had to travel forward in time from 1850 to get hold of the telephone parts and the valves...

@ basilisk: Well, since the telephone itself isn't the actual time machine but merely a communication device assembled for the experiment to work, you are probably quite right in your assumption.
