the carpet looks a bit odd, but that could be because of the floor. Maybe make the floor a more dark tint, think of what material it has. maybe the texture of the crapet itself could be improved a little, but i think it's more the floor.

also, but that could be a compression artifact, you might need to up the rays/bounces/resolution/whatever (haven't played with GI yet) a bit, since it seems a bit choppy on the far wall.

that sphere in a tube thing seems a bit odd too, the sphere looks like one big highlight, making it like a blob on the picture.

I want to obtain a little reflection on the floor, ( i use finalrender 1.5 for 3ds max 5) but when i use global illumination the floor is all dark without any reflection or shadows....
(for obtain reflection in finalrender i rise the reflection level on finalrender parameters)

Is this a problem of final render or is a my error? :wip: :wip:

Nice pic.

But, theres something that is bothering me: the ceilling looks to low.

Are you building the room based on real measures or are you just creating stuff with no refs? I think you should try raising the ceilling a bit to see how it would look.

Best regards.

The scene is a reference.....
Here is a reference image.....

I know not all the object are the same of reference...be patient i'm modelling chair an a carpett...

but my big problem is a lighting.... i try try try but is very difficult to obtain the same illumination of reference image.

It's difficult to understend where is the perfect point where place the lights... coul you help me?

In my opinion the most important lights are:

-In left side there's a most important lighting that cast shadows
-In right side there is anothe light but less powerful

Other lighis i don't know...

Thak at all for Your help.

Just made a quick comparison and as you can see your ceilling is too low.

In the ref pic, the taller cabinet is about two times taller than the smaller one and in your pic that doesn't happen.

So as the lower bar of the door must be at aproximatelly the same high as the top of the taller cabinet, your ceilling is too low than the one in ref pic. (I hope I could explain myself properly since english isn't my native language :) )

The question of the lights is different. In order to achieve the same results you might have to use radiosity or fake it with an array of lights, but by the chair shadow I think your mailn light outside the door is a little too low.

Best regards.
