silly me
i rendered my lightwave files as targa sequences instead of tiffs!
yeah, about a months worth of work...
so, i can't seem to import them in after effects. am i missing something here or can i correct this somehow? A plug-in perhaps that allows my AE version 5.5 (working on PC) to accept a targa sequence? Or some way to convert those hundreds and hundreds of files to tiffs?
yikes!

appreciate any help
;)

Not sure about this, but maybe LW is rendering out TGA with RLE compression and Afterfx doesn't support it?

If you have quicktime pro you can convert the TGA's to quicktime movies or another sequential image file format.

You can convert tga files to tiffs very easy with ACDSee.

thanks for all the tips. thankfully i rendered quicktime movies as well for most of the scenes. a funny thing happened. when i rendered tiff files AE still didn't recognize it as a sequence and did not give me the option to import as a tiff sequence. Perhaps (as a friend reminded me) this is somehow because of the D1 NTSC setting instead of rendering 720 x 540 ?? I cannot think of another explanation because i have had no trouble importing tiff sequences in the past. Ah well
thanks again guys
