Hey gang,
So my new Intous 3 arrived this Friday ,It's my first wacom and I've been pretty much one of the type to say "I can't draw", so I've put myself in the challenge of getting back at it.

After reading the forums a bit, I ordered the book from the beginners thread, should arrive this Tuesday, In the mean time I've just been googling around images for gestures and found one I liked and started on it.

So let's see how long I can last doing this, I seem to have the worst motivation and mindset :P

Right-o, so here is what I did after a few dables, I'm just trying to be lose and do em fast, get my hand working, I've picked this one and started working on the shading for it. I'm still trying to figure out all the right settings and whatnod for Photoshop and the tablet.

So without further ado here's the original:

And here's my take:

The shading I'm just gonna be doing it in grayscale right now as to keep it simple, at least I think that'll be simple...

Oh and any tips, bits and bobs, links, recommendations, all that good stuff is very much welcome.

Hey there
You've started your sb... there is no way back now ;)

Here's a tip: don't limit your studies to digital media, but use everything you can find to draw/paint/sketch/sculpt/etc.

Here's another one: don't go to bed without having drawn anything

And the most important one: don't forget to have fun :D

Looking forward to see your updates
