i am trying to get the look of fabric stretched between different points on my mesh. clothilde seams to do a nice job will gravity based fabric simulation, but does anyone know how to add some tension/fold lined which can occur as the result of streching?

thanks!

Hi

Try reducing your size setting over a second or 2 of animation. It will require some experimentation to get the right effect but I've had some success with using this method.

Check the tension tag, it might help you to increase the effect you are looking for

ok, this is working well. however, i am finding certail areas of stretch that i don't want to be so strong. how to i create a vertex map for the object so that i can use it for the clothilde tag? sadly, i have never created a vertex map.

thanks!
