Title: F1-Quad Cross over race car / off road funster.
Name: Phillip Drawbridge
Country: USA
Software: Carrara
I started out wanting to make an off road vehicle without normal axels. I didn't start out with the intention of it being a race car hybrid. I guess I should start with pen and paper really. ;-)
One thing I wanted from the outset was the ability for it to lift the main body up by rotating the wheels somehow. I wanted a high clearence, which meant not having a normal axel, So I started looking at mono-cycles and how the connection is made to drive the wheel. Then just created 4 wheels using that idea. it's probably not practical in the real world and this thing steers like a cow, but hey, this isn't real life.
Created in Wings3d and rendered in Carrara. LSmall amount of post in Photoshop.
Constructive critique always welcome. I'm not one of the big boys and still earning how this works.
