this is looking really nice. i think it needs a focal point that is created by a light source. now it looks to me that you have a very good base painting, but it has an even lighting and coloring all around the picture. Some focal points created by different light colors or values could make this image a lot more dynamic, very cheap and easy. but thats just what i think :) it's a good painting already...
