The only suggestion I can give has more to do with the art than the filters. A perfectly straight head on view, shows no depth at all. My suggestion would be to reposition the main objects to increase depth. Scale from left to right, larger on the left and smaller on the right, and that will create depth. Since your main objects are all rounded, you shouldn't have to do anything with them perspective wise except for scaling and a bit of moving around. As for the filter itself, the glow looks pretty kewl to me. :) I am much better with theory than with actual production, so I couldn't produce a 2d image even close to this. :)
