made with C4D XL r8.
43 lights used.
(1 distant light for sunlight, 10 omni for skylight from left window, 8 omni for skylight from back window. 5 omni for bouncing lights from walls and the rest for bouncing light from sunlight on the floor )

on Athlon 1700 it took 1 hour to render 1600x1200.

it's still looks like a WIP because there are lots of objects i have to put in scene but i'll continue to model the others when i take a photo of my room.

saw this on renderosity, it looks almost photoreal
a couple of things though, the wood on the table on the left looks a little like a repeating texture, I'm also not sure about the glass, its almost as though its lit to much, it draws my attention more than it should I think, perhaps a little more work on the chair materials as well, could do with some scuffing up, small imperfections etc, overall though, brilliant :applause:

See the book sitting on his desk?

Very nice image. I agree with Squid about the window--too prominent. Also, in addition to the repeat on the texture of the chair legs, the grain is running in the wrong direction. It should be going up-and-down instead of side-to-side. And a minor quibble, but there are some polys showing up on the corner of the right-hand poster. Great work.

OK, I don't agree with Squid: I think the glass is perfect. The best glass I have seen in ages. Presets - pretty please? Make us all happy :-)

Cheers,
