Wow that was awesome! I especially liked the rendering and lighting. Cool story too :D Animation was funky at points, but I definitely liked the snappy style. Great work!

Well the graphics were great, the library was beautifully lit. The story is a bit too simple, but none the less, its a nice short. Congrat's!:)

Frankly no story is too simple if told well. I quite like the concept, lighting, character design, scene etc etc. A very impressive body of work.

I really think the story wouldve worked better with beter voice actors. Or preferably, no voice actors. I mean Don Quixote is a famous character, plenty ways to tell who he is, and that hes nuts :]

Anyway, great job guys.

Hi !

Thank you all for your kind comments :)

About the story, it wasn't written by us but someone else from the promo so we couldn't change it nor alter it in any way. We just had to interpret it and use our skills to put it on screen ;)

mistasam02 : yeah, I know what you mean about the animation... Our skills were different so it's not always homogeneous.

Banshax : voices are what we're the less proud of. Our school didn't provide us professional actors so we had to do it ourselves, and as you pointed out, it's not perfect, especially Dulcinea's voice... But hey, better than nothing ;)

Hi Thomas,

I think you did a great short!
Making short films seems easy untill you actually make one. Your sets and lighting look absolutely fantastic. The character design works really well and even the story is perfectly fine. I hope you learned a lot and had some fun as well. Frankly i`ve started to see it as absolutely essential to get things working :]

I mean, focus on the things that worked well, and use the good things in your next short.

What software used ?

Hi muslemwazer, we used 3dsmax for almost everything 3D. FumeFX & VRay were also used for rendering and FX. Compositing (After Effects) played an important part (some smoke effects, lights adjustment, color correction and so on). We also use Audition for sound processing.
