Hey guys im trying to get my models shader right in Maya8.5
Does anyone know how he did that??????
The colour of the skin with sss looks amazing yet how has he done it?

i remember seeing a how to on this image, and I believe he used tonemapping for it.

Other then that, it is just an excellent use of the SSS.

I also believed he used 3ds max.

thanks for your reply... but he rendered this out as an animation aswell...could you explain what tonemapping is?

The look of the image also depends on the lighting. It looks like he has used a large rectangular light instead of a spotlight. It takes longer to render, but it looks much better.

ok i know about lighting but what is tone mapping?
