I am sorry, there seems to be some problem accessing the file (using the Save Target As command). Have you tried using some Downloading Programs, such as FlashGet etc?
It works for me here.

it is 30 MB! the site is very slow 2-3 KB/s download time 3 hours
it is better if you put it in a faster server.....this way you will not get much comments....

I really would like to view it, but with download times like these, many people might loose interest and not want to watch it.

What about trying this link instead? I hope it's a little bit faster than the avi link.

The 2nd link is about the same speed as the first. The film is interesting and tells the story about the coffeshop well. It is lacking technically in some areas (such as the shadowmap resolution could have been turned up) but overall it was intersting to make CG wooden pupets. It's interesting and it looks as if you put a lot of time into it.
here is a temporary mirror:

Yup, we haven't had much time back then to render most of the shots. The project took us about 6 months to complete, from preproduction to post production. There were four of us doing it, and it was great fun! How sad that each of us now are into our own work and hardly had anytime to do something like this again.
Well, I hope you enjoyed watching it :)
Thanks again, Stephen2002!!!

Here are some character designs in the animation. All of them are rigged.

Personally I think this is very good! I like the way the people move, like puppet ala "wayang" (chinese opera) style, very nostalgic....most pple in the west would not actually "feel" the story  Is that your voice in Mandarin?

Hehe...no choice, this short was made with very limited budget. :P
( maybe I should put a "For ASEAN audience only" sign) :p
