CGTalk - UV Layout Help!!!

This is the scene I'm working on for an intro modeling course I'm taking. It's all modeled so feel free to rip it apart, but the actual reason it's up here is because I have no idea how to lay out the UV's of the bar. If anybody has a tutorial or any pointers on how I can break this down I would totally appreciate it. The UV editor shot on this thread is of the work I've done with the UV's so far but I'm sure they are actually crap. Please help me!

Hi,

I would lay the uv's this way.

The bar top , base and next will be the inner part of the bar.Or the top and the base can be a single uv.This will depend on how u would want to texture it.

I guess u need to sit and sew :)
