hello,
I thought I'd share a technique on how to mirror blends shapes.
I'll use the example of a smile.
Select your base head then duplicate 2 new heads.
make one a "right smile".
so you have 3 heads now. One "right smile", one unused target and one "base".
Ok now select the unused target and duplicate it once.
now we have 4 heads, one "right smile", "two unused targets" directly over each other and the "base".
rename the two unused targets "scale" and "wrap"
select "scale" and enter -1 in scale X (flips it)
now select smile and scale and make a blend shape so you have a mirror smile blend shape for "scale"
now to freeze it we use a wrap.
so select "wrap" then select "scale"
open wrap deformer window and check the box "exclusive bind"
hit create.
duplicate "wrap" and rename it "left smile"
delete the old "wrap" and "scale"
that's it you just mirrored your blend shape.
thanks
Jason
