quite simply, I was doing some very "fine" detail in blender by useing multiple items strewn together to give the desired look, anyway when you get like 32,000 objects it really eats up the memory to do even the smallest task. not to mention when you want to select most of them but not "all" of them it gets tricky.
any ways to make it simpler I thought there might be some way to "link" them together as "one" object so that it wouldn't eat up so much mem, but I don't know how to link objects (other than placing them next to each other)
long question:
so is there some way to take multiple objects (with different colors, reflectivities, ambience ETC.) and link them together while keeping all atributes about them separate but making it one obejct so as to lower the memory usage?
