Upgrade options from 8.5 Studio?

Is it Studio or XL? These are different bundles.

Yes you can - but be aware that the R8.5 modules will not, aren't, cannot, and shouldn't work in R10.5. So you'll have the base R10.5 with Net Render and that is it.

If you want all of the modules you have in the R8.5 bundle for use in R10.5, then you'll need to upgrade the bundle completely. It'll cost between $1200 and $1600 depending upon which bundle you actually have.

Oops, it's actually the studio bundle. So what you're saying is I could just treat them as seperate modules, so upgrade Core 8.5 -> Core 10.5 and NetRender 8.5 -> NetRender 10.5? I'm not looking to use the other packages which is why I don't want to upgrade them.

Unfortunately it doesn't appear that you can upgrade the individual modules from R8 to R10 (only from R9 to R10). So, you can upgrade the base (which includes BodyPaint3D in R10). But you might need to call your Maxon rep. to see what is entailed in upgrading Net Render.

Please contact your nearest MAXON office on this, there is no standard procedure for an upgrade path like that.
